Master Lotz Automotive Engineering is a "one stop" automotive service centre that has been looking after our customers since 1995.
We offer the complete range of motor vehicle maintenance, including tyre sales & services; suspension repairs; four wheel computer alignments; auto electrical and electronic repairs, all mechanical services & repairs and Warrants of Fitness.
Master Lotz Automotive was established in 1995 as a husband and wife team and is now supported by a team of technicians and an apprentice.
All staff is highly qualified and attends regular trainings and update courses. With the ability to keep all the work "in house" we can guarantee a quality and cost effective result.
In our modern workshop, we are fully equipped for all European and Japanese vehicles.
All staff members are friendly and approachable; there is no job too small or difficult.

If you choose to wait for your vehicle while we work on it, then there is plenty to enjoy. You can help yourself to cup of tea or coffee and chose from one of the many magazines in our tearoom and relax on the sofa, or have a leisurely walk around the area and look at the all the animals or sit under the trees and enjoy our lovely location. We also have free Wifi available in our tearoom for our customers.
There are not many workshops like ours, where you can listen to Tuis while you wait and we work on your vehicle.

Apprenticeship in Germany as A-grade Mechanic at a Ford Franchise, which was also Importer for Subaru.
He received his certificate for gas-, arc- and MIG welding at the Kassel Chamber of Commerce Welding Academy.
At the German Army trained as tank and truck mechanic on Leopard tanks and Mercedes and MAN trucks.
Then employment with a large construction company , where he was responsible for the repair and maintenance of the companies fleet, which consisted of about 200 Mercedes and MAN trucks and various construction vehicles, like diggers, concrete pumps, rollers, loaders e.g. and the company directors cars, mostly Mercedes S-class.
During this time, Gustav was also trained for the repair and maintenance of concrete pumps by one of the largest construction machinery companies in the world, Friedrich Wilh. Schwing GmbH.
After five years work as A-grade mechanic, he was eligible to enrol for the studies for Automotive Engineering, which he successfully completed in 1988 with the Masters Diploma in Automotive Engineering.
With this diploma he finally met the requirements of German trading law to start his own automotive repair workshop and car sales until his departure for New Zealand in March 1993.
Here he obtained his Warrant of Fitness Inspector authority and worked at the Onehunga Testing Station until he moved to the Bay of Plenty.
Upon opening Master Lotz Automotive Engineering he became member of the Motor Trade Association and served as an executive on the board of the local MTA branch and was elected as branch president from 2003-2005. He also is Associate Member of the Institute of Automotive Mechanical Engineers IAME.
Christina Lotz
Finished studies at Technical University Munich with Diploma in Teaching. After several years of teaching special training and working as kinesiotherapist in Psychotherapy and Drug Rehabilitation.
In New Zealand working as Community Support Worker at the IHC and started working with husband Gustav at Master Lotz Automotive Engineering in 1995, obtained Warrant of Fitnes Inspection Authority in 2002, National Certificate in Automotive Engineering NZQA.
Leaf is our automotive technician and was our fourth apprentice. He came to us through Te Puke High School's Gateway Programme and received his National Certificate Level 4 in October 2011.
